About Gold Star

Gold Star Daycare & After School Care is an accredited childcare centre operating since 2014. We provide educational childcare services for children aged twelve months to twelve years. At Gold star we understand and embrace the fact that 83% of any one a person's learning is within the first five years of their life. At Gold star we take a holistic approach to early education. Every step of the learning journey is important, and we strive to help children grow and learn through play and exploration; as well as, through interactions with their peers and adults around them.

Our Curriculum

At Gold star,we encourage and support children’s natural curiosity and learning. We provide children a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that has a variety of activities and ensure that our priority goes to child selected and child directed activities that are explored independently in an environment designed for purposeful play and learning. At Gold star, we select only the best resources and our educators are trained in creating the best learning environments for your children.Our Early Childhood Educators are caring qualified professionals, with the ability to identify teachable and learning moments. From setting up our wondrous play spaces to encouraging positive interactions amongst the children each day.The Play based program has been crafted to cater for these teachable moments as well as your child’s key areas for development. It incorporates the Early Years Learning Framework developed by ACECQA as a guide for the key skills in early childhood learning and development. Every age has its own needs and our rooms are adapted to support our children’s foundational years and abilities. We have created play spaces and outdoor playscapes that complete each other and nurture the children’s curiosity, their creativity and independence.We have two spacious playgrounds in each centre catering to different age groups.

We believe play helps us understand how children learn, explore their world, and respond to everyday life. Through play, children become flexible, adaptable, and resilient, building a foundation for lifelong social and emotional health.

We respect each child as a unique individual and are encouraged to ask questions, explore new possibilities, and act on what is learned. We support each child as they learn to respect not only the materials they use but also everything and everyone around them.

We uphold the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) that states that every child has the right to protection, participation, and provision for survival and development without discrimination.
